I’m a little perplexed. I downloaded the zip file onto my desktop, unzipped it, transferred files to SD card, opened folder using app installer, and I cannot find any installable game file, just folders with documents that are inaccessible, Can anyone shine light on this? I’m pretty new to android, so any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem like you have. I am guessing that you downloaded it using IDM or any download manager, is that right?
If you do, it might because the download manager automatically changes the extension to .zip. (it sometimes happens with ISO, BIN, and also .jar(java app)). What i can suggest is that you have to download it right from your browser to make it stay in .apk not ..zip.
you try to remember which folder in your sd card you copied the file. you might not put it in the folder installer. I think applications that will automatically be copied in the installer folder are applications you downloaded from your cellphone. I hope this would help you.
